[News] That new header…

I’m sorry for posting so much irrelevant stuff lately. There just aren’t so many interesting things happening.

So, I finally went with the new header image that I designed some months ago. The old one was way too bland and basic. I think it’s been around since 2012? Not sure if this is permanent, though. There is a topic up on RVL that you can check out and I encourage you to post there. I am still looking for the perfect header image.

However, the new one is inspired by the Acclaim logo. It also features an actual element of the game, namely the “RV icon that WeGo so politely borrowed” [Quote, hope that’s okay]. All in all, I like the concept. The font is debatable at best. But again, please leave your feedback either here or on RVL: http://z3.invisionfree.com/Revolt_Live/index.php?showtopic=4085

Not that a header is that important… It’s just that I’d like to do some more things with the website. We’re heading towards 2016 and thus far we haven’t had more visitors than last year. There is an insane amount of content that is sleeping on my HDDs that needs to be cleaned up and posted here. Those things are mostly related to the tutorials, Re-Volt’s history and more fancy things from the past. I would also like to take over many parts of the Re-Volt wiki to RVF, the main reason being the eternal chaos that is the wiki. However, some parts did turn out to be pretty useful.
Keep on Re-Volting.

Re-Volt DEV version

Just like its own name, Re-Volt DEV was known to be a developer’s must-have Re-Volt version that even the old Full Custom Phoenix R3 and the new WolfR4 raced to implement most of its features.

Even with the progress done in rv1.2 and WolfR4, DEV still retains much mysteries and features like reporting AI problems or estimating future wrong things (warnings).

Among known features: open makeitgood/dev modes (cameras as well), the ghost car, ability to see all the tracks, statistics and intro sequence track. It also features Acclaim employees’ ghost cars.

The introduction of DEV version was by kay (kfalcon) on 2008 into RRR, where he uploaded this version, later the music of it. However due to sites falling down, the music has been lost.
Kay also mentioned that he got it from his dad’s friend as a gift.

Today, Re-Volt Frontend team including Marv, kay, VaidX and Thomas, finished repacking the whole game after getting music files from kay’s jungle files.

“Re-Volt 2” released. Hint: This is not a successor to the original game.

Warning: Do not buy this game (or do not purchase anything in-game)! It wants your money! It is also very bad.

Re-Volt 2 has been on the Google Play store for a few days now. I don’t think anyone expected this to happen this early. My expectations regarding WeGo have been lowered since the cs_italy thing. However, their promo picture looks promising:

But the game itself? Meh. Weird textures, a pink BigVolt, additional game modes (yay?) which have been stolen inspired by Mario Kart. In other words: They slightly altered the games’ code to make it really cheap and crappy.

I can’t say much, though, since I passed my Android phone to my dad. I might pirate try it some time if I’ll ever be bored enough. If you tried it, feel free to comment and tell me it’s not as bad as it appears to be.
Still I see that the battery thing is going on. So you’ll have to pay when your playing time runs out. (Reminds of Candy Crush, right?)
Hey, a lottery wheel thingy! That’s what a racing game always missed!

It’s as unprofessional as it gets. “Re-Volt 2: Best 3D RC Racing Game” as it appears in the Google Play store. A: It’s a lie! B: You don’t title your game “the best 3D ultra mega RC super game”. You just don’t.
You see those guys posting things like “We got the jackpot” on Facebook. No words.

I don’t like where Re-Volt is going. Re-Volt is about community and online races. They should have chosen another game to get “the jackpot”.

Captain’s log supplemental:

I just tried the game and got the permanent feel of disgust. The game is based on coins. With those coins (or with the diamonds? Doesn’t matter. It takes real money.), you can buy all kind of shit like power-ups, more time to play, … All those things that are ESSENTIAL TO BE FREE IN A GAME.
You start off with like 8 minutes of time. And after that? I don’t know. I just couldn’t bear it anymore. The game only has three tracks anyway. Toys in the Hood, Market and Toy World.
The game modes are highly unoriginal and uncreative. It’s only about collecting things. It appears so they disabled the AI. Just don’t buy the game (or is it free? I pirated it since it is not available in main parts of the world.)

Spread the word and tell everyone how crappy this game is. I will not post a link here for that reason.

If you wanna play Re-Volt, pirate it. Do not buy it on the appstore, do not buy it on Good old Games. Do not support WeGo and help us to end this.

Re-Volt on Android? Yes!

Re-Volt was said to be released on Android in October ’12. However, it wasn’t.
But don’t worry! I just found this on WeGo’s Facebook:

Someone is asking about the Android version. The answer is:

HelloRE-VOLT Operations Team!
Current version of the Android development is in progress.
I hope that can be released as soon as possible.
^ ^ Thanks much attention
