Where can I download Re-Volt?
Acclaim Entertainment is no more, so the IP rights have been sold to Throwback Entertainment who did nothing about the game being classified as abandonware (thanks, guys!) and later to WeGoI who hired BigBit to release a port of the Dreamcast version on iOS and Android. Any other things they did are too ridiculous and heart-breaking to mention.
Since Re-Volt cannot be bought anymore, grab it here.
How can I play Re-Volt on Windows >= Vista?
Where can I get custom tracks and cars?
How do I install tracks and cars?
A zip you downloaded, let’s say quake.zip, from Re-Volt Zone or elsewhere usually has one or two folders in the inside: levels and gfx.
The level folder contains a folder with with level’s name, e.g. quake.
The gfx folder contains the preview image named after the track, e.g. quake.bmp.
To install a track, copy the contents of the zip into your Re-Volt folder which normally can be found at:
C:\\Program Files\Acclaim Entertainment\Re-Volt
Windows asks you to merge the folders. Click yes to all, it will merge the folders.
The same applies to cars where the car folder from the zip has to be copied to the Re-Volt folder.
