Hello, I’ve heard that many people are having problems with getting started with TexYUI and many are considering TexYUI as ‘for beginners’ while beginners consider it for ‘experts’.

Let’s face it TexYUI isn’t a game and anything other than a game is hard to manage…

That’s why and for “TexYUI promotion compaign” I’ve decided (after talking with MarvTheM) to make ‘visual tutorials’ so everybody could start using TexYUI

Now we’ll begin with advanced stuffs like

Animating a TV screen in one Bitmap
Although the bitmap is 1024×1024 and has 289 frames tongue.gif
Tools needed: (3Ds max * Bande Dessinée * TexYUI * Avidemux)
Bande Dessiné and TexYUI are included in the project files along 3Ds max files
3Ds max is NOT included
Avidemux: Avidemux’s homepage

Download project files

Now we’ll begin with advanced stuffs like

Animating A Shouldn’t_be_reached_water_surface = caustics
Although it’s possible to make double layer, a layer of sand and above it a layer of caustics with Flag=additive (similiar to paint.net additive) making the PERFECT caustics for Re-Volt!
Tools needed: (Blender * Bande Dessinée * TexYUI * Caustics Generator)
Bande Dessiné and TexYUI are included in the project files along 3Ds max files (I recommend TexYUI and BD from the above archive, they’re more updated)
Blender: Download
Blender tutorial adopted from Rv Frontend (which contains the exact controls and how it’s done correctly)
Caustics Generator: Download

Download project files
Thanks to Skarma, MarvTheM and the whole RVL community for pushing me forward!
